Vipiteno Hotels

Look for your ideal accommodation in Italy in the mountains among the Vipiteno hotels! This town is very charming; it was inserted in the “Most beautiful towns in Italy”. The Vipiteno history goes back to the medieval times; during the Middle Ages the town was already an important economic center connecting Northern and Southern Europe. Moreover, the important Fugger family of bankers was from Vipiteno! The town is also part of the “seven medieval towns” of South Tyrol. Another resource of the medieval town was the mining industry; the Monteneve mines, which produced lead and silver, weren’t far from Vipiteno and the extractive activity went on till the XIX century. In winter it’s possible to ski in the “Monte Cavallo” skizone, 10 minutes far from downtown!

Summer in Vipiteno

During your summer in Vipiteno you can visit the waterfalls near the “Stanghe Ravine”, whose couloirs is of white marble. It’s possible to visit this waterfalls upon payment between May and October. Another famous hiking destination, especially among history fans, it’s the Monteneve mine, located between Val Passiria and Valle Isarco. It allows also to verify the miners’ living conditions; their life was harder also because the mine is situated at 1800 meters of height. In Vipiteno the “Yogurt Festival” takes place in the famous Vipiteno Dairy; in September it’s the turn of the “Knodel Festival”, a true must for the South Tyrolean gastronomy fans.
